Beijing Tongfang Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (TMC) - a "fabless" IC design company, was founded at the end of 2001 by Tsinghua Holdings Co., Ltd. and Tongfang Co., Ltd. As the flagship of high-tech business in Tongfang group, TMC also keeps strategic cooperation relationship with Institute of Microelectronics of Tsinghua University (IMETU).
With very experienced IC design R&D and management teams, TMC can provide IC design, application service and total system solutions, etc.
TMC has abundant experience in digital, analog and mixed signal IC designs. It has independently developed the key modules of radio frequency analog circuit, micro-controller and various specific algorithm accelerating engines. Currently, the major products of TMC are chips used in smartcards and other systems, including contactless memory card chip, contact and contactless CPU card chip, reading / writing module for contactless card reader, etc. TMC has undertaken the task of designing the Chinese second generation national ID card chip, and becomes one of the main providers.
