Overview of System|

The electronic certificate solution provided by Tongfang Microelectronics Company applies non-touched IC card technology in certificate anti-counterfeiting and multi-application. This solution is based on Tongfang THR2408 contactless CPU card chip, including hardware and software.

System Architecture|

This system mainly includes 2 functional modules of certificate issuance and multi-application:

  • Functional module 1: issuance of certificate

The certificate issuance module hardware: issuance server, contactless IC card read/write machine and certificate printer with read/write machine embedded; software: certificate issuance software and read/write machine driver programs.

The issuance module is to complete initialization of the electronic certificate, including 2 functions: print the personal ID information into the certificate; through read/write machine, write into the chip the personal ID information, anti-counterfeiting information and relevant multi-application information.

  • Functional module 2: multi-application of certificate

THR2408 chip features 8K-byte EEPROM memory as well as high security and flexibility, and can be used for multi-application.

System Security|

Security of this system lies in:

  • Integrated circuit features complex manufacturing process and devices worth more than 100 million dollars. It will be costly to counterfeit.
  • DES/TDES encryption/deencryption coprocessor and 32-bit truly random number generator offer a comprehensive data encryption and security controlling mechanism;
  • Highly secure management over internal data and communication of the chip through chip OS (COS);
  • Each chip has a unique 8-byte ID number (UID).
